Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs have always been on the menu at our house parties for as long as I can remember. The best part about them is that they go great with any cuisine! Easily done in under 30 minutes, here's the recipe to the Shilfenns version of this dish.
Ingredients:4 eggs, hardboiled
1/2 tsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp fresh cream
1 tsp butter
2 small shallots
1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper
Red chilli powder/paprika
Coriander leaves (cilantro)
1/2 tsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp fresh cream
1 tsp butter
2 small shallots
1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper
Red chilli powder/paprika
Coriander leaves (cilantro)
Method:
Cut the eggs in half and separate the yolks. Keep the whites aside, and put the yolks into a blender.
Add the mayonnaise, fresh cream, butter, shallots, salt and pepper, and blend to form a paste.
Transfer the paste into a piping bag and pipe into the hollow of the egg whites.
Sprinkle some red chilli powder and garnish with the coriander.
Tip: No need to get too professional with the piping bag if you're in a hurry. Just spoon the paste onto the egg whites, garnish and enjoy!
